Taught in a fun and casual atmosphere by local artist Aaron Delehanty, Beginning Painting is intended as a solid introduction to painting, from the ground up. Emphasis is on such fundamental concepts as color and composition, brushstroke, the nature of paint, as well as the basic painting process.
This class is open to all levels of painters, from those who have little to no exposure to painting, to those who have a history but lack the space and the encouragement. This class has the flexibility needed to suit the needs of each student, and above all it will be enlightening, inspirational and fun.
Each student to provide their own materials, although samples will be given out if you are curious about something in particular.
To ensure comfortable surroundings, space is limited to 9 students, so sign up early.

Artists will work with the inventor of the process to create plates from various materials and to print them photographically as etchings or monoprints. Artists who have a good knowledge of both photography and traditional printmaking and who have attended at least one Lumetype Lecture can learn the process or continue to learn the process through the use of more investigative and focused one-on-one with the instructor.

This is a great introduction for do-it-yourself ers, who want to create their own posters,
t-shirts or promotional material for shows, records, events or just to learn the silk screening process. In this class students will learn to build their own frame, stretch their screen, create their own design and pull an edition of prints using screen filler and photo emulsion techniques.
Basic materials are supplied: Paper, black ink, wood for frame, screen and filler/emulsion for one screen.
