In conjunction with the regularly scheduled exhibits of featured artists, cycling every 1 to 2 months, Luce Projects take place in the form of live events, lectures and educational programing, to investigate Perspective and Communication. The projects intend to temporarily suspend a participant's sense of comfort or familiarity to the Usual. With less reliance on opinion and judgement and more focus on observation and questioning  of meaning, these shifts in perspective reveal fresh relationships to the Ordinary or Mundane. 

AUDIO EVENTS
Previously called Audio April, this concept began as a series of events focused within the month of Aprill, to promote dialogue between guest sound-artists and current exhibits. The events could not be confined to one time period and so the decision was made to rename simply Audio Events.
TEXTAPORT
Teleportation through Text. Each Textaport project provides a page or more of text describing how to construct something.  The text is both informative and misleading so that the participant is able to see an ordinary thing as someone with demensia or amnesia or an alien might perceive it. If someone could write about what it's like in the in-between state of being teleported from one location to another it would likely be like Textaport.
THE COLORIST CHESS
We provide some kind of substrate, tools and paint. We also provide a grid on our website loosely imposed over the substrate.  The public is invited to submit instructions for one of our artists to pick up a tool, dip into a color and apply in the manner of their choice to the coordinates made available. Each participant is allowed one mark per submission. These paintings hope to pin point ego in the collaborative process so that it can be transformed.  As multiple artists jump in to add their own marks, the creation and destruction by each mark made, amplify and cancel out to create a larger unifying structure that no single ego or personality has single handedly dictated.
